Role Overview:
As a Transcriber, you will be responsible for listening to audio and video recordings and converting them into written text with precision and clarity. This role requires excellent listening skills, keen attention to detail, and strong command of written English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe audio and video files into clear, grammatically correct written documents

  • Identify and differentiate speakers in multi-speaker recordings

  • Proofread and edit transcripts for accuracy, grammar, and formatting

  • Follow specific style guides and client requirements

  • Ensure timely delivery of completed transcripts

  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards

Requirements:

  • Strong English language skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation

  • Excellent listening and comprehension abilities

  • Fast and accurate typing (recommended: 60+ WPM)

  • Experience with transcription tools and software is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous transcription experience (general, legal, medical, or media)

  • Familiarity with UK English and transcription formatting standards
